Countryside Veterinary Hospital provides excellent patient care and personalized service. We take the time to develop a bond with clients and their pets. We pride ourselves in being able to make our clients feel they are important to us and not rushed during their visit.
Dr. Thomas Prime was born in the Fredericton area. He attended the University of New Brunswick and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Then attended the Atlantic Veterinary College and received a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He furthered his education by completing an internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists just outside of New York City. It was there where he gained extensive training and experience in emergency medicine, critical care, ophthalmology, dermatology, cardiology, neurology, internal medicine and orthopaedic surgery. He has more than 15 years of experience in orthopaedics and works with other veterinary hospitals in New Brunswick on an orthopaedic referral basis.
Dr. Prime is married with two stepchildren, two dogs and two cats. He has a very active family life outside of his profession and loves to spend time outdoors in all seasons doing a variety of activities.
Meg Dunphy (RVT) grew up around animals at her grandparent's farm. Trying to take care of all the animals, from Holstein cows to tiny barn kittens, she always knew she wanted to have a career in animal welfare. She took the Veterinary Technician course at Oulton College in 2007 and has enjoyed working with animals in clinics and shelters ever since. She has two kitties of her own named “Tweak” and “Banjo” and hopes to continue to add to her critter family!
Laura Bell is a Veterinary Assistant. She graduated from the Vet Assistant Program at Eastern College in 2018. She grew up on a farm where she found a love for animals and always knew she would pursue a career path with them. In her spare time she enjoys spending time skiing or horseback riding, also being with family and friends. She has a 2 year old dog of her own named “Bentley" who has taught her one dog is enough for now.
Bev Crouse is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has worked in the vet profession since 2009. She has always lived in this community, which is an added bonus for traveling. Along with spending her free time with all of her fur babies, she also enjoys the outdoors. Walking and wheeling are some of her extra activities away from work in the spring, summer and fall and Netflix has her covered for the cold winter days.
